Our History

Calvary Community Church was born on June 10, 1973, when five people met in a living room of a home in Lincoln, Nebraska. From that beginning, the church has grown and occupied rented facilities with 28 charter members and is now located in our own facilities on 36 beautiful acres.

Our Purpose is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We are a congregation of God’s people who worship together, serve together, and believe that God wants people to have life at its fullest potential. Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

From our small beginning, God has worked miracles in our midst. We have witnessed the fact that God still honors faith today. He has placed us in a strategic location in Lincoln, Nebraska to be a beacon. Only eternity will reveal the scores of lives touched and souls saved through the sacrifice of our people.

As God expands our dreams, we must continue to take steps of faith to carry the message of Jesus Christ throughout Lincoln and into the world.
